new year, new blog

writing has always been a part of me, something that flowed so naturally out of me that i often wondered how it could possibly be difficult for someone else

something i have gotten in quite a habit of in my life is starting journal after journal, never completing one...there's something about a fresh clean page isnt there?

a clean slate.

isnt that why so many people love the start of a new year, thousands upon thousands of people clinging to resolutions to make this year, somehow, better than the last...at many points through our lives we are all looking for a clean slate.

i know i have been in places like this before...whether it came at the end of a year on a new years eve evening or on a random day in late july - we all find ourselves in a place wishing for a redo, or "go back" as we call it in staff meetings...a fresh start.

and maybe that the inspiration for something new is what always drives me to a new journal, a new blog...subconsciously maybe i think with a new outlet ill pour myself into the pages more than the last...who knows

no matter what, here i am again

the start of something new, welcome to the new blog.

i took some time off from blogging and started writing in a journal again, it's all well and good until you get to about page 5 on the first entry and your hand begins to cramp and even i can barely read my handwriting which, in the long run doesnt prove very helpful

i thought id start over, some friends have wondered where i have been, many people question why i would even choose to do this in the first place.  i read a really inspiring blogpost this week by a very phenomenal woman talking about people spitting negativity her way over her instagram account and her blog and how she has learned, over time, to tune it out. reality is, everyone is entitled to their own opinion right? i get to blog and say whatever i want, and in turn, readers get to have an opinion, and are given the opportunity to respond to it - and who am i to say what that response has to me. so here i go again, this time hoping ill handle the negative feedback a little better than i have in the past and hoping ill take the positive feedback and roll it back into my writing and make me a better blogger all around.  who knows.

so, welcome to the new blog.  here's hoping i can be a little more consistent in the new year than i have in years past...

heres.hoping.
